In 1876 on March 10th Alexander Graham Bell in Boston Massachusetts invented the telephone. The phone itself was made of a wooden stand, a funnel, a piece of copper and a cup of acid. The design was put together by a man named Thomas Watson.
Mr Bell filed his patent only just before his competitor Elisha Gray. Mr Bell only made an actual working model of his telephone 3 weeks after the his patent was filed. In Mr Bells working model he used alot of ideas that were out lined in Elishas proposal and not his own, this was later disregarded and Alexander Bell was the person that invented the phone. |
